Help with common problems authenticating with Microsoft credentials

Updated over 2 months ago

We offer one-click single sign-on (SSO) for users with work email addresses associated with a Microsoft account. This is convenient for end users and business IT organizations alike. End users don't need to create new passwords to manage and organizations can enforce added security like two-factor authentication (2FA).

A request was sent to my IT administrator during log-in

It is common for IT organizations to require that users request permission to sign into new applications using Microsoft SSO. Often, IT administrators are not closely monitoring these requests and the requests aren't obvious and apparent in the Microsoft UI.

If you are a new Empwr.ai user signing in with Microsoft SSO for the first time, you may be stopped from authenticating and told that your IT administrator has been sent a request.

If this happens to you, you can take the following steps:

  1. Contact your IT administrator and let them know that you have requested access to use Microsoft SSO to sign into Empwr.ai. You can send them this Microsoft help article that will show them how to enable Empwr.ai for you and your colleagues - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/grant-admin-consent?pivots=portal

  2. You can alternatively sign up with just your email until your IT department has granted you permission to use SSO. if you use that method to sign in, our system will email you a magic link to log you in

I cannot sign in with my hotmail or personal MS365 email account

We only support Microsoft SSO for work email addresses. If you need to sign in with your personal email address, please use the sign up with email option. The system will email you a magic link that you can use to sign in
